Northrop Grumman Business Management Analyst in San Diego, California

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector - Business Management Group- Contracts: Pricing and Estimating seeks a Business Management Analyst 2 to join itsteam as a Material Estimator. The position is located in either San Diego or Redondo Beach, CA.

Specifically, this position performs daily management of the estimating activities, to include:

  • Populating and developing Bill of Material (BOM) structures - compiling required supporting data to ensure compliance with the FAR and Company policies and procedures for U.S. and International proposals.

  • Receiving and analyzing vendor quotes, and supporting Global Supply Chain in supplier selection.

  • Collecting, researching and validating purchase order historical data and engineering estimates.

  • Providing general guidance and support and reviewing work products with co-workers.

  • Preparing Bill of Material pricing templates in order to support proposal specific pricing models.

  • Preparing Material Price Analysis to support supplier cost reasonableness and source selection.

  • Collaborating and coordinating with proposal technical teams in developing the material pricing strategy by interfacing with Business Management, Procurement, Supply Chain Program Management, Program Office, and Pricing Organizations.

  • Additional duties include support of customer evaluations and fact finding, negotiations and audit proposals.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business/Finance/Accounting/Mathematics or related area.

  • Self-Motivated

  • 3+ Years of combined experience in Pricing/Finance/Contracts/Business

  • Be able to work in a deadline driven environment.

  • Eager to learn, with excellent communication skills to meet deadlines.

  • A team player, independent, proactive and possesses excellent problem solving and organizational skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of tools/applications.

  • Global Supply Chain experience helpful

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

  • Industry Experience

  • Knowledge of TINA and FAR.

  • Knowledge of the business acquisition process.

  • Proficient in use ofSAP
