Northrop Grumman is currently seeking an experienced Principal Manufacturing Analyst to assist our Copper Crossing Value Stream organization at our Salt Lake City facility, with temporary assignment in Clearfield Utah while the building completes construction.

Role Description and Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for implementation of improvement initiatives and managing the operational support activities associated with composite case manufacturing processes. This position will coach teams to solve problems, remove barriers, conduct audits of operations processes to ensure compliance to written documents, quality controls, tool acceptability, and safety regulations and may lead mishap investigations. Additionally, the Manufacturing Analyst is responsible for procurement of essential manufacturing overhead materials, tools and shop aids as well as review of materials, tooling, training, facilities equipment, and safety audit actions to ensure the team is compliant to the requirements.

This role may also fill in for front line leaders and department manager as needed. The Manufacturing Analyst must communicate effectively and initiate necessary actions to ensure that organizational goals are accomplished.

Job Duties:

• Initiate appropriate support organization work orders for facilities, tooling and maintenance activities and track to completion.

• Coordinate production needs with scheduled maintenance work.

• Assist operations in preparing for various reports for the Value Stream.

• Assist with budget forecasts and analyses.

• Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and appropriate customers to develop effective cause and corrective actions.

• Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action projects.

• Capacity and Operational Availability analysis.

• Track various metrics and projects.

• Other duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements:

• People leadership – able to work with a diverse group to achieve common goals.

• Experience with capacity analysis, approaches to improving operational availability.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and operating procedures.

• Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to apply lean principles to improve process flow and standardization of processes.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Experience Preferred:

• Demonstrated ability to lead teams.

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

• Detail oriented but able to understand the big picture to ensure that organizational goals are accomplished.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.

Education/Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field with 4 years of professional experience or Master’s degree with 2 years of applicable experience. 6 years of applicable experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Salary Range: $76,600 - $115,000

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
