Provides for aircrew briefing of course rules, weather, runway, airport construction, NOTAMS, etc. Files, activates and closes FAA flight plans as required. Provides active flight following for possible SAR situations. Maintains certain aircraft and aircrew flight records. Coordinates airspace requirements with FAA and DOD agencies depending on flight profiles. Assists visiting aircrew with flight planning, briefing, filing, weather and local transportation needs. Familiarity with FAA directives pertaining to flight operations on a civil airport a plus. Serves as point of contact for incoming corporate commuter flights, customer ferry flights and coordination of airfield, tower, maintenance, and aircraft rescue and firefighting (ARFF) operations.
Security clearance requirements based on programs supported
Airfield Driver instructor. Conduct all airfield driver training for NGC airfield drivers. Administer and track airport access badges.
NOTAMS - Notice to Airman FAA system critical skill must be to able retrieve pertinent NOTAMS and decipher them for impact to operations.
Weather - Access ADDS weather system to provide timely weather updates to ground and aircrew.
Utilize aircrew qualification tracking system to monitor currency and qualification of all company E-2 aircrew (24 Pilots and WSO's)
Daily Flight Schedule: Publish and distribute the SAAICOE DCMA Joint Flight Schedule to internal and external customers.
Special Use airspace (Warning Areas): Utilize DOD Reservation system to reserve airspace with US Military controlling agency for production acceptance flight test events.
Conduct emergency response activity and notifications.
Execute aircraft emergency checklist when supporting single pilot aircraft as focal point for checklist completion (challenge & response requirements)
6 years of operations/coordination experience and aBS/BA degree or AA/AS with 8 years of operations/coordinaton experience in lieu of degree requirement.
3 years of aircraft/airfield operations experience
Ability to obtain and/or maintain a DoD secret clearance
FAA Air Traffic Controller or Flight Dispatcher Certificate or FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P), Military flight operations experience and/or related experience desirable
