Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Tool Integration & Offload Engineering Manager 2, to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Tooling organization. This leadership role is located in St. Augustine, FL .
In this leadership role you will provide tooling solutions and support of special tooling for all sections and projects of the E2-D Advanced Hawkeye aircraft build as well as other site programs as needed & other NG special/classified projects for multiple sectors. Our team designs industrial machinery and equipment, tools, dies, gauges, jigs, fixtures, and machine attachments required for production or experimental use, considering such factors as accessibility, economy, mobility, and performance requirements.
Roles & Responsibilities:
This manager will lead 10-15 Tool Engineers, Analysts, and Offload Technicians
Oversight of all team activities and responsibilities to ensure sector compliance of site tooling and of all onsite and offsite tooling.
Responsibilities of the team include but not limited to: requests for Quote (RFQ) packages to suppliers & liaison between NG stakeholders and suppliers, tool tracking and movement of over 53k individual special tools, raw material processing (ordering, storage, delivery and kitting) for the Fabrication team.
MES work order generation and package generation for tracking, trending and reporting of yearly tool Periodic Inspections (P.I.) health & active tooling SOW through a tool's product life cycle, the direct maintenance and repair of NG owned tooling.
Budgetary support of the St. Aug Tool Organization's performance to established direct & indirect budgets for both material and labor accounts per Earned Value Management System (EVMS) practices.
Assure that the organization is properly staffed, trained, and certified to meet current and future program demands.
Engage with functional managers and individuals to ensure escalated roadblocks are removed, requirements and resources are defined and adequate, and that delivered products are technically compliant to internal, program and industry standards.
Integrate with Tool Engineering to ensure program commitments and on-time delivery of tooling designs are executed.
Develop technical excellence within the organization, build and foster teamwork, and encourage close cooperation with and across functional organizations.
Manage multiple program priorities on engineering deliverable and effectively lead the organization in meeting delivery to committed items.
Champion company values, including safety, inclusion and diversity, standard methods, and continuous improvement.
Formulate personnel development plans, track progress, and evaluate performance to ensure challenge and growth.
Resolve conflicting needs in customer demands within and between organizations.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience, or Master's degree with 6 years of tooling, engineering, supplier management, cost/schedule and delivery, implementation of new tooling, and/or project management experience
3 years of experience on Tool Integration & Offload Teams
Experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment
Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience managing/leading teams or projects
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance and a Special Program Access clearance within a reasonable amount of time as required by the business.
Preferred Qualifications:
E-2D Hawkeye product knowledge
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline
Masters degree (in STEM or MBA)
2 years of experience managing or leading teams
Current/Active DOD Secret Clearance or the ability obtain clearance
Experience in detail part fabrication and structural aircraft assembly
Cost account and budget management
Structural, Electrical or Final Assembly Aircraft Fabrication and Assembly
Tooling Concepts
Catia or NX CAD, GD&T Experience
Six Sigma and LEAN Manufacturing Principles
Microsoft Project
Basic understanding of concepts related to typical manufacturing systems
Salary Range: $116,200 - $174,400
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
