Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Staff Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located at Roy, UT or Huntsville, AL to support Advanced Programs in our Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division.
Roles and Responsibilities
Setting up cost control system, monitoring and controlling costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system.
Performing analyses and preparing reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines.
Preparing budgets and schedules for contract work and performs and/or assisting in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis.
Preparing program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled.
Performing schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks.
Monitoring funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government.
Incorporating contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines.
Performing miscellaneous financial analysis as required.
Participating in month-end financial reporting close activities.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 13 years of related experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Program Cost Analysis or Program Scheduling;11 years with a Master’s degree; or 17 years of experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree
US Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level security clearance
Experience with S4, Deltek Cobra, MS Project/Oracle Primavera
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel and Teams.
Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
Experience managing Indirect and Capital Funds
Experience with proposals and program start up
Preferred Qualifications
Active DoD Secret level security clearance or higher
5+ years of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience.
Proficient in Deltek Cobra, SAP, PowerBI
Strong analytical ability
Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to present to SDS leadership
Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80A. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Salary Range: $117,800 - $176,600
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
