Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Training Devices CAM / Sr. Principal Cost Accountant Analyst. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Training Systems Team (TST).

What You'll Get To Do:

Allocates costs, collects data, and prepares reports that maintain the company's cost accounting system. Ensures that costs are allocated according to established procedures. Gathers historical cost data on such activities as material purchases, labor, equipment depreciation, repairs, assembly, operating expenses, etc. Investigates cost structures for new and existing areas of the company. Prices new services or products by developing unit costs and projecting expenses. Prepares reports that compare budgets with actual expenses. May prepare existing or projected profitability analyses. May recommend, design, or develop revisions to the cost accounting system.

The successful candidate reports to the Program Manager and conducts a variety of compliance and surveillance activities including Earned Value Management, Financial Attributes, training, and direct program support to ensure compliance for programs within a validated Earned Value Management System (EVMS).

Work with programs to review and prepare monthly Financial Attributes compliance statements for Business Management

Review, prepare, and analyze Monthly Management report EV data for submittal to the PM

Assist program EVM Analysts in ensuring technical, cost, schedule, and program management compliance

Build partnerships to support execution while maintaining compliant EVM implementation in accordance with EIA-748 and corporate command media

Prepare analysis in support of monthly sector cost/schedule metrics reviews

Facilitate Variance Analysis Report (VAR) and Estimate at Complete (EAC) development and approval

Provide guidance, oversight, and approval of program baseline changes

Support reviews and audits by the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and Internal Audit organizations

Participate in internal EVMS surveillance

Identify and implement EVM process improvements

Develop and deliver SOX and EVM training to build a shared understanding and increased capability of compliance and best practices in order to support program execution as needed

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.



You'll Bring These Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with 6 years of financial/cost experience to include cost schedule control and variance analyses OR a Master's Degree with 4 years of financial/cost experience to include cost schedule control and variance analyses;

• 3+ years of EVMS implementation and surveillance experience

• Active Secret Clearance and the ability to be upgraded and the ability to obtain program access.

• Experience with P6 and MS project

These qualifications would be nice to have:

• Master's Degree

• Active Top Secret Clearance

• Experience with P6, Cobra, Empower, or Open Plan

• Familiarity with Defense Cost and Schedule Management processes/tools

• Experience interfacing with government audit agencies such as the DCMA and the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA)
