Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal Software Engineer / Sr Principal Software Engineer- Lab Automation - 10043 to join the test automation team as part of the Integration Assembly Test and Checkout (IATC) element of the Command and Launch (C&L) segment. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Final grade level offered will be based on candidate experience.
What You'll Get To Do:
The selected candidate will:
• Work with test planning and execution teams to develop software products which automate testing, automate post-test data analysis, and other tasks which remove the "human in the loop" to make testing faster and safer
• Maintain software products to manage lab scheduling and configuration
• Use Object Oriented Programming language(s) to create and maintain these software products
• Solicit, develop, and maintain requirements and documentation for developed tools
This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. Some travel may be required to Promontory, Utah; Colorado Springs, Colorado; and/or Vandenberg SFB, California. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Basic Qualifications:
Principal Software Engineer: Bachelor and 5 years of related experience; 3 years with Master's Degree; 0 years with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree
Senior Principal Software Engineer: Bachelor and 9 years of related experience; 7 years with Master's Degree; 4 years with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree
Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 5 years.
US Citizenship and ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP)
Experience in Object Oriented Programming, examples are Java, C++, C#, and Python
Experience in automation development
Experience in Integration and Test
Understanding of computer networking principles
Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
Ability to communicate effectively with customer counterparts and other engineering disciplines
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Preferred Qualifications:
Active DoD Top Secret security clearance with adjudication in the last 6 years
Master's Degree or PhD in a STEM discipline
Good understanding of one or more of the following applications: Cameo, JAZZ, SpiraTest, GitLab, WireShark, and LabView
Experience with the JavaScript React library
Experience collecting, processing and creating scripts to analyze large data streams of test information
Experience with Scrum, Agile, and Model Based Systems Engineering
Has been previously approved for special access programs

Salary Range: $90,400 - $168,000
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
