Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer /Principal Systems Engineer . This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.
What you'll get to do:
Support systems engineering activities including use case development, requirements definition/allocation, functional decomposition, interface definition, verification & validation, and requirements traceability to the test plans
Develop/Maintain descriptive system models in UAFP, SysML, and UML using MBSE tools to define interfaces, physical/functional block diagrams, and behaviors
Coordinate with integrated product teams for establishing content within the architecture.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80A. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
You'll bring these qualifications:
This requisition may be filled at either a Principal level or level Sr. Principal level.
Bachelor's degree in Science and Engineering or a related technical discipline
A minimum 2 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; 0 years with a Master's (Principal level requires 5 years with a Bachelor's degree; 3 years with a Master's degree; or 0 years with a PhD)
Active Secret Security Clearance with investigation/adjudicated within the last 6 years
U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP)
Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience, demonstrating broad technical experience across multiple platforms, and encompassing the entire product development lifecycle
Detailed, hands-on experience using one or more of the following common MBSE tools in the areas of Architecture, Design, and V&V: Cameo, Rhapsody, Sparx EA, DOORS, Teamcenter, etc
These qualifications would be nice to have:
Experience with Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Systems Modeling Language (SYSML), and Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)
Experience defining systems architecture for developing and decomposing requirements and system functions, developing functional and physical system architectures, and defining interfaces
Experience developing large, complex systems and holding cross-functional architecture reviews
Experience with physical security systems
Previous Systems Engineering experience and understanding of the Systems Engineering Process
Experience with Agile Development
Experience using Requirement's repository tools (i.e., DOORS).
Salary Range: $77,100 - $106,700
Salary Range 2: $87,600 - $131,400
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
