Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking Manager Software Engineering 2 . This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel program.
The selected candidate will join the DevStar Team within the System Engineering Directorate and manage the build promotion and deployment team.
The DevStar team is responsible for coordinating the development and execution of the IFCs, including program Software, to support major milestone events.
This role requires close coordination and collaboration with the other Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) responsible for Software requirements, design, development, and execution to support the delivery and integration of program SW.
In this role, you will lead a team of SW engineers to gather requirements and create high-level designs for build promotion processes, provide needed architecture and design to Tools & Infrastructure teams, support coding
The candidate will have 80% technical responsibilities. This role may include Control Account Management and Risk Management duties.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
6 Years with Bachelors with relevant experience; 4 Years with Masters; or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.
US Citizenship, ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance and ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP)
1+ year experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule.
1+ year of experience with Agile principles to include Kanban, Scrum.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
3+ years leading a team, including mentoring and coaching.
Experience with individual contributor performance assessments.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
Strong critical thinking and logical reasoning skills with the ability to solve issues and predict potential programmatic and technical risks.
General understanding of NG Engineering Processes
Working knowledge and/or experience across engineering disciplines.
Experience managing an engineering team.
Familiarity with Agile engineering and Jira.
Salary Range: $131,200 - $196,800
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
