Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Major Program Events - Manager Project Management 2 . This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

The Sentinel program is seeking an experienced program manager with the background, vision, and people skills to lead the Major Program Event (MPE) lead team within the Sentinel program. This manager will lead the MPE leads, partnering closely with the Segment leadership, Contracts, Business Management, Supply Chain, Human Resources and broader Segment teams, providing horizontal integration across the Segment.

What You'll Get To Do:

  • Lead the implementation and execution of Sentinel Major Program Events (MPEs) partnering with Segment functional leadership, including Integrated Demand Signals, Change Management, EVMS/Financials, Risk/Opportunity, Supplier Management, Top Issues, Preventative & Corrective action.

  • Provide programmatic assessments and analysis of data and recommendations to Segment lead.

  • Lead programmatic aspects of Contract actions (RFIs, ROMs, NTEs, Proposals, etc.), working with the Segment Contracts, Business Management, Global Supply Chain and Advanced Planning teams.

  • Represent all aspects of Sentinel MPEs during program increment planning.

  • Understand the critical path, and work to alleviate roadblocks and create schedule float.

  • Demonstrated ability to present to all levels of executive leadership and USG customers.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 6+ years related experience in program management

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain an DoD Secret Clearance and Special Program Access

  • 1+ years' of experience managing programs and leading people.

  • 1+ years' of experience partnering with contracts, business management, and supply chain on contract actions, Program Execution / Earned Value Management and supplier management.

  • 1+ years' experience supporting RFIs, ROMs and Proposals

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Master's Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • 10 years engineering experience

  • Previous access to a SAP

  • Experience with the GBSD (Sentinel) weapon system

  • Departmental Management Experience

  • Experience as a team lead or manager

  • Earned Value Management Experience

  • Experience with Confluence and JIRA

  • Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) experience

  • Strong customer communication skills

  • Prior experience as a system engineering subject matter expert or IPT lead

Salary Range: $105,600 - $158,400

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
