Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal/Senior Principal Mechanical Engineer who will Function as a Mechanical Engineer/Designer of aerospace equipment for the Payload Reentry System (PRS) Delta Flight Test Vehicle Team which includes the testing and validation of those designs. Applies extensive technical expertise, and has full knowledge of other related disciplines. Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

Principal Engineer:

Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering.

Minimum 5 years of related experience with Bachelors in Science; 3 years with Masters

Secret Clearance required to start

Senior Principal Engineer:

Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering.

9 years of related experience with Bachelors in Science; 7 years with Masters

Secret Clearance required to start

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters of Science in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering.

Experience with ICBM Weapon System or Aerospace programs is preferable

Experience with design and analysis of aerospace structures

Travel approx. 25%
