Northrop Grumman's CIO - Space PMO organization is seeking a Principal Level Enterprise Services Program Manager (ESPM) in Redondo Beach, CA to work with a dynamic team that provides IT leadership and direction for the Digital Manufacturing Engineering and Quality (DMEQ) organization. This role can also be located in Rancho Bernardo, CA, Roy, UT, or Melbourne, FL.
This role will provide overall vision and strategy, requirements forecasting, process and software application alignment, tool integration and cost performance for the Engineering Systems Pool (ESP) portfolio of applications. The Mechanical Engineering ESPM serves as a liaison between the ESP, and AS, SP & DS Sectors for Mechanical design and analysis application requirements.
ESP Mechanical Engineering ESPM Job duties include:
• Effectively interacts with other members of the ESP leadership team to optimize IT strategies in support of Mechanical Engineering goals and objectives
• Provides leadership over IT activities supporting Mechanical Engineering, including strategy development, budget and cost management, proposal development, product and service acquisition and delivery to ensure timely, cost-effective deliveries and high level of customer satisfaction.
• Coordinates with project teams and resource managers to ensure delivery of requirements are met, changes are documented, and systems are developed, integrated, tested and deployed.
• Resolves competing demands related to project scope, schedule, cost, customer satisfaction, and quality and ensures compliance with organizational processes and procedures
• Apprises DMEQ management of status, customer satisfaction, and risks that might affect program performance to ensure team success
This position requires collaboration and teambuilding across multiple domains and a demonstrated ability to independently prioritize, plan, and execute work tasks in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality results.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or STEM related discipline and 5 years (principle) of relevant experience in support of Information Technology, engineering or a scientific discipline OR a Masters Degree in Engineering or STEM with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to provide strategic direction regarding IT products, processes, applications and technology.
• Experienced with managing cross functional teams, leading projects, budgets and schedules.
• The qualified candidate must have proven leadership skills and excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret Security Clearance or higher level.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 3-5 years building and supporting Mechanical Engineering Design and Analysis products (NX, CATIA, Ansys Mechanical, FEMAP, Abaqus, TeamCenter, Capital)
• Substantial experience managing a large COTS software portfolio
• Experience in Project or Program Management with the ability to support multiple projects concurrently based on priority and criticality.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance or greater
• Candidate must be entrepreneurial, self-starter and have the ability to challenge the status quo.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, oral, and presentation)
Salary Range: $95,300 - $165,500
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
