Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an Energetics Safety Officer- Mission Assurance level 3 to provide support to our Roy, Utah , Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD-Sentinel) team. This role will provide enabling support across the program to ensure mission success.

Things you will get to do:
Use your strong technical background associated with energetics safety/weapons system components, and DOD Contractor Safety Requirements (DODM 4145.26/DESR 6055.09) to review/evaluate system effectiveness, assess regulatory compliance across the breadth of energetic products and processes within NGC Sentinel and its supply base.
Improve employee knowledge of and compliance with safety standards in partnership with leadership of operating departments.
Demonstrate an ability to interact effectively with internal/external compliance regulators with a high degree of proficiency.
Resolve customer safety concerns and present progress on safety audits and corrective actions Manage the Northrop Grumman GBSD Energetic Safety Program by influence across all departments to develop, plan, schedule, complete, analyze, track, and follow-up on process assessments, both independently and with groups.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Current Active in scope DoD Secret Security Clearance reinvestigated within the past 6 years.
Bachelors in Science degree with 5 years of related experience; OR a Masters degree with 3 years of related experience; OR a PhD with 0 years of related work experience.
Working knowledge of industrial (OSHA) and DoD regulations (especially DoD Manual 4145.26
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Project management experience, preferably in a manufacturing or manufacturing support environment.
Experience working in regulatory compliance, safety, hazards analysis, testing and processing.
Working knowledge of HOPS
Active Top Secret Clearance
Salary Range: $90,400 - $135,600
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
