Northrop Grumman Enterprise Services is seeking an Operations Sustainment Engineer; this position will be located in Roy, UT. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Ensure continued operation and maintenance of systems with managed risk, to include responsibility for the review and oversight within capacity management, change management, and root cause analysis.

  • Provide regular collaboration and guidance to large cross functional matrix teams, acting as a liaison between development and implementation of design changes to resolve operational issues and other activities necessary to ensure cost-effective support to achieve performance requirements over a system's life-cycle.

  • Review and approve changes to the environment to ensure due diligence occurs prior to implementation of changes.

  • Facilitate improvements through collaboration across the program resulting in improved stability and predictability of services.

  • Participate in development of root cause analysis with emphasis on corrective action planning activities requiring service design changes (technology or process).

  • Review IT infrastructure processes within the program to ensure meet or exceed industry standards.

  • Participate in the identification, development and communication of new technology standards and best practices, as appropriate.

  • Facilitate execution of strategic plans and cost and schedule focused delivery.

  • Align IT Solutions strategy and operations initiatives across the program.

  • Identify opportunities to improve systems integration by reducing redundancy and cost, while at the same time increasing productivity and cost competitiveness.

This position may be filled at a higher level based on the requirements.

Basic Qualifications for Level 4:

  • Associate's degree with 11 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree with 9 years of experience, or Master's degree with 7 years of experience, or PhD with 9 years of experience; a High School diploma or equivalent with 13 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance, and the ability to maintain the required security clearance as a condition of continued employment.

  • The ability to obtain a Special Access Programs (SAP/SAR) clearance within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company, and also by program and/or customer requirements; maintaining SAP clearance will be a condition of continued employment.

  • Experience with Operational technology areas, Project Management, and System Engineering.

  • Experience with Information Technology services applying ITIL principles.

  • Familiarity with tools and approaches for IT Service Management.

  • Leadership experience and an ability to drive results across a matrixed organization.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

  • Knowledge of SAFe Agile practices.

  • Associate's degree with 16 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree with 14 years of experience, or Master's degree with 12 years of experience, or PhD with 9 years of experience; a High School diploma or equivalent with 18 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance, and the ability to maintain the required security clearance as a condition of continued employment.

  • The ability to obtain a Special Access Programs (SAP/SAR) clearance within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company, and also by program and/or customer requirements; maintaining SAP clearance will be a condition of continued employment.

  • Experience with Operational technology areas, Project Management, and System Engineering.

Salary Range: $112,000 - $168,000

Salary Range 2: $139,000 - $208,000

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
