Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking Supply Chain Procurement Specialist. The qualified applicant will join a cohort of employees re-entering the workforce after a career break of at least two years.

This cohort will receive special on-boarding designed to provide an effective re-entry into the workforce. iReturn provides experienced professionals with a 12-week "returnship" to prepare for a full-time career in one of several fields at Northrop Grumman through training, professional development and networking opportunities. Qualified applicants will join a cohort of employees returning to the workforce after a 2+ career break for this "returnship" program that focuses on giving you a seamless transition back into the workforce. This cohort program will run from September - December and prepare candidates for an effective re-entry into the workforce. The successful applicant will become a part of Northrop Grumman's Strategic Deterrent Systems Division Procurement team within the Space Systems Sector, which is engaged throughout all aspects of the core technologies used within our major systems.
Responsibilities will encompass the full range of the procurement acquisition process including preparation and execution of a mixed portfolio of procurements while ensuring compliance to company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will understand the buyer and the seller roles in establishing mutually successful business arrangements, with experiences in work specifications and solicitations/bid packages, proposal evaluation, price and term negotiations, development of contractual documentation and post award administration.
Candidates must be able to make sound decisions in a timely manner, display strong interpersonal skills, and have an agile perspective of compliance protocol mandated by regulated industry.
Within the SDSD organization the candidate will support a team-based organization and perform activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including but not limited to strategic analysis, complex negotiations, materials planning, procurement execution/award, finance, and internal customer service. Ideal candidates are generally experienced in multiple areas of the procurement or contractual function(s), developing business relationships, and demonstrating an affinity for working with, or understanding both manufacturing and technology.
This position is responsible for executing major procurement activities and providing contractual support and documentation to suppliers in support of programs.
• A current career break of at least two years.
• 3 Years with Bachelors; 1 Year with Masters. (Note - Additional experience can be taken into consideration in lieu of a degree)
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain; US Citizenship required
Experience with FAR/DFARS.
