Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here.
The GBSD program has exciting opportunities for a system engineer to develop high-level functional and performance requirements and verification methods, subsequent analysis, decomposition, and derivation of requirements, allocation of those lower-level requirements to physical and functional architectural elements, and tracking them through design, verification, integration, and operational validation and other systems engineering products for the integration, activation and deployment of the GBSD Infrastructure.
What you'll get to do:
Support a team of engineers to create and present systems engineering products at the appropriate level of maturation for any given milestone and demonstrating team readiness in relation to achieving the milestone entrance and exit criteria.
Identify required contractual deliverables and non-contractual documentation and driving corresponding updates to closure as well as coordinating and collaborating with diverse engineering design teams to assist in managing the technical baseline.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80A. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
You'll bring these qualifications:
BS in Systems Engineering or other technical related field
A minimum 2 years of related systems engineering experience with a Bachelor's degree; 0 years required with a technical Master's degree
Demonstrated experience with systems engineering principles and processes
Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or higher
These qualifications would be nice to have:
Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) programs or projects, or Master's and 1 years' experience supporting U.S. Government ICBM programs and projects
A current DoD Top Secret clearance with capability for SAP access
Effectively communicate and present to project and program management, other technical managers and customers
Familiarity with the DOORS Requirements Management Database
Excellent technical writing skills, and team building skills
Familiarity with Model- Driven Systems Engineering languages (SysML /UML) and concepts and CORE knowledge
Familiarity with building codes and specs, especially military construction
