Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Manager 3 - System Definition Manager to join its team. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here . Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force's sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.
What you will get to do:
Within the GBSD System Engineering and Integration (SEI) IPT, the SE Definition lead provides leadership and oversight for the planning and execution of the following functions:
Integrated Program System Engineering process and oversight of process adherence and execution across program, interacting across all program IPTs
Processes include Requirements allocation, requirements verification, model-based systems engineering methodology, including process documentation
SE Product quality and consistency auditing and oversight, including metrics development and management
Specification and documentation tree and CI/CSCI management for program
Coordination and facilitation of integrated system level specification in coordination with customer
Coordination and documentation of allocations to Segment-level specifications.
Active Secret Clearance
Bachelor of Science STEM Degree required and at least 12 years of related experience in engineering to include responsibilities as manager
Very strong understanding of SE process, including SE experience across multiple levels of integration. Technical depth in at least one of the thread areas.
Strong customer communication skills.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
5 years of experience with ICBM Weapon System
Experience with any of the following tools and languages: CORE, DOORS, Rhapsody, Cameo, ModelCenter, MagicDraw, Easy Power, Prima Vera, UML, SysML
Experience in Systems Engineering and any of the following areas:
Requirements Management: MBSE, Functional Block Diagrams, Specification Trees
Systems and end item requirements validation and verification
Design: Systems Design, Systems Architecture, Systems Integration, N2 Analysis, Trade Studies
General knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines: Safety, Nuclear Hardness, Nuclear Surety, Material Science, Environmental, Parts and Logistics, etc
Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis
