Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (EEE) Engineer 5 This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here.
What You'll Get To Do:
An Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (EEE) Engineer 5 performs requirements flow down and analysis related EEE, utilizes analytical tools such as SPICE, Matlab, or FEM (ANSYS HFSS and/or CST Studio Suite) to perform systems analysis and ensure that EEE requirements are met, and performs EMI/EMC testing for EM interference and compatibility at the unit level, EMP, ESD, HERO and lightning tests. The ideal candidate for this position will also help mentor other EEE engineers and provide basic EEE training to design engineers.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
You'll bring These Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science Degree OR higher in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or closely related technical discipline
15 years of experience in EEE or a related field with a Bachelor of Science Degree or 12 years with a Master's Degree
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret clearance
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Experience with MIL-STD-461 testing and analysis such as SPICE modeling or Finite Element Modeling (FEM) - ANSYS HFSS and/or CST Studio Suite
Experience with MIL-STD-464 compliance
Experience with EMP compliance
Experience with Frequency Allocation Data (DD1494 process)
Experience with Spectrum Supportability Risk Assessments
Expert knowledge of the physics associated with EEE in electrical, electronic and electromagnetic devices is a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills of the English language is desired
Active Secret clearance with investigation completed in the last 6 years
