Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer to join the Flight Systems Team. This position will be located in Roy, UT and support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here .
What You'll Get To Do:
The successful candidate will lead FST Requirements Verification Activity Model (RVAM) strategy and development. The selected engineer will define and tailor sysML and DODAF implementations in support of requirements verification planning. The selected engineer will be experienced working in system architectures for large programs with integrated flight and/or ground segments using a model based system engineering approach.
The selected engineer will work with the architecture, systems engineering, and test teams to develop a cohesive model-based architecture supporting the total system lifecycle, participate in technical reviews, and provide customer support.
Coordinating across multiple product teams a standardized development approach meeting major design/test milestones
Interfacing with customers, program management and technical staff
Utilization of Model Based System Engineering with an understanding of DODAF, SysML, and UPDM
Problem resolution and improvement recommendations

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
You'll bring these qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline from an ABET accredited university with 9 years of related experience; 7 years with Masters; 4 years with a PhD
Experience using Model Based System Engineering
Experience using Requirements repository
Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or higher
These qualifications would be nice to have:
Experience with DOORS
Experience with CAMEO
Exposure to the Agile methodology
Experience in verification planning and execution, test planning and execution and/or analytical model validation
Active DoD Top Secret security clearance
