Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Software Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, U and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here.
What You'll Get To Do:
The selected candidate will work with test tools and create automation for a testing environment. In this role you will develop software to create a centralized test controller for the System Integration Labs. The test controller will be a mix of COTS and custom software. You will get to design software interfaces for communication with test stations/test sets/instrumentation with the goal of test automation. In addition, you will develop a suite of tools ranging from analytical tools to post processing data tools, including system performance metrics. The candidate must be able to lead and mentor junior members of the team. The candidate should be experienced in the creation of test reports and analysis of system performance for the system under test.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
9 Years experience with a Bachelors in Science; 7 Years with a Masters; 4 Years with PhD.
DoD Secret Clearance with a re-investigation date occurring in the last 5.5 years.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, effectively communicate and work in multi-functional teams
Experience creating Test Automation SW for a test laboratory environment for multiple embedded systems.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Knowledge of test concepts: automation, data capture, reporting
Familiarity with AGILE Software development processes
Programming experience in C/C++ and Python
Experience developing software in a Linux environment.
Experience in developing, managing, and decomposing requirements
DoD Top Secret Clearance with a re-investigation date occurring in the last 5.5 years.
