Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal Communications Systems Engineer. This position will be permanently located in Roy, Utah and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force's sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure. Successful candidate will analyze, model, design and simulate communications systems, subsystems, and algorithms for communication networks, data links, digital radio, battle management, and command and control systems such as wide and local area networks, point-to-point systems, secure systems, signal coding and modulation schema, digital radio/communications technology and network architecture design. You'll Bring These Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline from an ABET accredited university with 9 Years with Bachelors in Science; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD Active final secret clearance or higher within the last 6 years Familiar with radio frequency communications systems engineering, including line-of-sight and beyond line-of-sight link budget analysis. Modeling of static and dynamic terrestrial, airborne and satellite link geometries including antenna characteristics, modulation and coding, receiver and transmitter performance parameters.
