Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking two Principal/Sr. Principal Test Conductors. These position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here.

What You'll Get To Do:

  • Support lab operations of Hardware in the Loop test benches, maintaining lab and test asset configurations, Integration and test of sub-systems, troubleshoot issues, and support design/development of test assets and all test activities.

  • Work in a dynamic people-focused environment where he/she will interact with users, customers and other engineers.

  • Oversees the operational aspects of engineering tests and serves as liaison to program, engineering and line management.

  • Review status of test requirements, manages schedules and prepares reports.

  • Assesses anomalies and develops resolutions to documented procedures in conjunction with Test and Quality Engineering.

  • Implement best practices and demonstrates good hardware configuration management and tool accountability.

  • Read and support creation of drawings, blueprints, and diagrams during test planning efforts, in addition to supporting test execution.

Primary work location will be in Roy, Utah with occasional travel to support test activities.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Qualifications:

This requisition may be filled at either a Principal or Sr. Principal level.

Basic Qualifications for a Principal Test Conductor are:

  • Bachelors of Science in STEM discipline with 5 years' experience; 3 years with a Masters of Science in STEM discipline; 2 years with a PhD. An additional 4 years of relevant work experience may be counted in lieu of a Bachelors of Science degree.

-Prior experience in an integration, production, manufacturing or test environment

-Experience with common hand tools and test equipment found in an integration, production, manufacturing or test environment

-US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 5 years)

Basic Qualifications for a Senior Principal Test Conductor are:

-Bachelors of Science in STEM discipline with 9 years' experience; 7 years with a Masters of Science in STEM discipline; 4 years with a PhD. An additional 4 years of relevant work experience may be counted in lieu of a Bachelors of Science degree.

-Prior experience in an integration, production, manufacturing or test environment

-Experience with common hand tools and test equipment found in an integration, production, manufacturing or test environment

-US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 5 years)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship with an Active Top Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 5 years)

  • Prior experience as a Technician possessing skills in the following areas:

  • Using basic electronic test equipment, Python Scripting for test bench automation, Test Operations and Conduct

  • Utilize MS products; Word, Excel, and Visio.

  • Effectively communicate issues and help to provide solutions

Travel is expected up to 10% of the time.
