Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer for the System Test Team IPT. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Space System team supporting the Air Force's Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program and be part of the System Test Team. This position requires travel up to 25% of the time.

What You'll Get To Do:

  • Design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment.

  • Plan and arrange labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices.

  • Compile data and define changes required in test equipment, test procedures, or new test requirements.

  • Perform test planning, execution, reporting, and integration support.

  • Perform data analysis against requirements and interfaces for each software build or hardware component

  • Interface with software developers and systems engineers in support of verification

  • Prepare detailed test reports and support formal verification of the system

  • Support product integration, regression, and verification testing including checkout in system test labs.

  • Perform short and long term integration planning and execution of multiple concurrent baselines. This include integrating subsystem functionality into system capabilities per design with an emphasis on system stability and performance

  • Participate in technical exchange meetings, interfacing with customers (internal/external) and contributing to a broad range of program deliverables.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Job Qualifications:

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM discipline and 5 years of relevant work experience; 3 years with a Master of Science degree; 0 years with a PhD

  • Active Secret Security Clearance granted or re-adjudicated within the past 5 years

  • Software and/or Hardware testing experience

  • Proficiency in MS Office

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:

  • A current DoD Secret or Top Secret/SCI level security clearance, to include a Single Scope Background Investigation, a periodic reinvestigation, or an original adjudication date completed within the last 6 years

  • Automated Test experience (development and execution)

  • Experience designing and setting up a Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) type test lab

  • Agile experience

  • Experience with Model Based System Engineering

  • An understanding of DODAF, SysML, DOORS and Cameo
