The GBSD program is seeking anexperienced Principal Electrical Engineer. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Space System team supporting the Air Force's Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. This will include development, production and deployment of Launch Equipment hardware and systems for each weapon system facility. The selected candidate will work in a dynamic people-focused environment where he/she will interact with users, customers and other engineers. What You'll Get To Do:
Research, plan, design, analyze and test electrical components, equipment and systems,
Develop wiring diagrams and schematics
Support Board Layout and cable routing activities
Support design activities that include relays, MIL-STD-38999 connectors, and intercom systems
Support connector pin-out design and analysis
Due to the complex nature of the electrical designs, the position requires working closely with multiple engineering disciplines including but not limited to System Engineering, and Mechanical Design to achieve program objectives in a timely manner.
Additional work responsibilities may include task planning, cross and conducting technical peer reviews
Preparation and presentation of reports, briefings, design documents (drawings and specifications) and interface with AF customers.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
5 years of experience with a Bachelors in Science degree in a STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline or 3 years of experience with a Masters in Science degree; 0 years with a PhD.
Facility Cabling Experience
Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years)
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:
Knowledgeable using NX Modeling and CPLM
Knowledgeable using Mentor Graphics/Capital
