Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Software Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here.

What You'll Get To Do:

You will be a Physical Security Access Control Lead engineer on a team developing access control systems for high value assets. This role includes requirements development, model based system engineering product development, product selection, interface definition, product development, integrating products into a larger system, product and system testing, design baseline/deployment/sustainment documentation generation (drawings, specifications, installation instructions, maintenance instructions).

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Qualifications:

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience. Master's degree with 7 years of related experience; PhD with 4 years of related experience. Will accept an additional 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a college degree.

  • Active Secret clearance with re-certification within last 6 years

  • Experience leading engineering effort on product teams

  • Demonstrated design and systems engineering experience

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Top Secret clearance with re-certification in the last 6 years.

  • Model Based Systems Engineering process and tool experience (DOORS and Cameo preferred)

  • Modelling and analysis experience (Matlab preferred)

  • Drawing generation experience (NX preferred)

  • Agile development process and tool familiarity

  • AFI 31-101 and DoDM 5210.41M familiarity

  • Experience with high value security systems and processes

  • Experience working DoD acquisition projects
