Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Guidance, Navigation & Control Manager (S03) to join its team. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force's sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.
What you will get to do:
This role will lead a team of GN&C engineers who will continue to mature the Guidance System which includes GN&C Analysis and Algorithm development, GN&C Systems Engineering, AVE SW, Guidance Computer, Navigation/Inertial Instrument System, and Power and Distribution SW products from Preliminary Design phase to a Critical Design Review and beyond.
The role involves day to day management of the GN&C team. The individual must be capable of leading a team in a highly dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities. The individual must be able to communicate effectively with upper management and customer. This position reports directly to the GN&C IPT Lead.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM-related field of study and 10 years of experience, Master's Degree and 8 years of experience.
5+ years of experience dedicated to GN&C system development and/or analysis
Active Secret clearance adjudicated within the last 6 years
3 years of missile GN&C HW and SW experience
2 years of experience managing and integrating the activities of large diverse teams
1 year of experience with program control (IMS, EVMS), budgeting, and staffing
2 years of experience with/knowledge in principles of Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)
TS clearance preferred
Success taking a GN&C system through a major design review
Experience working in an Agile team or even leading a scrum team
Familiarity in working multiple colors of money in parallel (Direct, NCTA, Capital)
Understanding of verification and validation principles of MS&A work products
Drive process rigor and ensure compliance to meet company, program and security requirements
Effective leadership and management skills
