Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer to join the Command and Launch Team. This position will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here .
What You'll Get To Do:
Successful candidates will define and tailor SysML and DODAF implementations in support of requirements verification planning. The selected engineer will be experienced working in system architectures for large programs with integrated flight and ground segments using a model based systems engineering approach.
The selected engineer will work with the architecture, systems engineering, and test teams to develop a cohesive model-based architecture supporting the total system lifecycle, participate in technical reviews, and provide customer support.
Expectations for this position include:
• Model Based System Engineering with an understanding of DODAF, SysML, and UPDM
• Understanding of verification methodologies
• Coordinating across multiple product teams a standardized development approach meeting major test milestones
• Interfacing with customers, program management and technical staff
• Problem resolution and improvement recommendations
• Occasional travel to Northrop Grumman and Government locations within the United States
The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a TS, an active Secret is required to start.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline with 2 years of experience; 0 years with Masters
Experience performing in a Systems Engineering or related technical discipline
Experience using Requirements repository
Active Secret clearance
Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering principles, approaches, and tools
Experience using requirements management tools
Exposure to the Agile methodology, particularly in a systems engineering domain
