Northrop Grumman Technology Services sector is currently seeking an SCA Maintenance Machinist to join our diverse team of professionals at our Quick Reaction Capability (QRC) Support Center in Rolling Meadows, Illinois .
Performs the measurement, calculation, and precision machining of complex parts
Interprets and adheres to currently released drawing configurations and identifies drawing discrepancies
Supports the machining and design of prototype parts and assemblies to include providing reasonable labor estimates and defining process inspection points for the development of master routing travelers
Understands and applies basic math skills and follows basic instructions and guidelines
Negotiates and integrate different viewpoints on complex issues, collaborates in a team environment and understand sequence of operations or actions to be taken. Employees must be able to wear a respirator and other safety gear
Maintains a clean and safe working area at all times
Identifies tooling, supplies, and resources needed in order to maintain a serviceable working area
Performs maintenance as required on all tools, equipment, and machinery
Identifies defective tools and equipment and removes them from usage
Must have a High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of5 years of machine operation and/or programming experience.
Must be able to wear a respirator and other applicable safety gear.
Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
Must be capable of becoming respirator certified (including passing the respirator physical examination) to support the basic tasks associated with applying painted coatings
Experience using controlled drawings and work instructions.
Experiece programming and running Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Milling Center.
Experience machining parts and holding critical dimensions.
An active DoD Secret (or higher) security clearance
