Northrop Grumman Principal Data Insight Analyst 3/4 in Rolling Meadows, Illinois

The Land and Avionics C4ISR (LAC4ISR) division is seeking a Data Insight Analyst to support the Program Execution team. The Data Insight Analyst will report to the Director, Program Execution and support the LAC4ISR Division in a variety of data analytics and data visualization efforts.

Primary responsibilities for the Project Manager will include but are not limited to:

Collecting, analyzing, and visualizing information from several disparate data sets in support of providing greater visibility on various areas of program performance

Leading data collection efforts and performing trend analysis to identify common performance challenges that require further attention

Creating predictive models to leverage existing business and reporting data to identify areas of concern related to program execution earlier in the program lifecycle

Creating data-driven tools that simplify efforts related to proposing, planning, and executing programs

Preparation and review of metrics and internal progress reports

Various other tasks and objectives in support of the Program Execution team

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.

This requisition may be filled at either a level 3 or a level 4.

Basic Qualificationsfor a Data Insight Analyst 3:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field with 6 years of related experience or Master's Degree with4 years of related experience.

Must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels of management and individual contributors.

Demonstrated advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Demonstrated advanced knowledge of data analytics and visualization software (e.g. Tableau).

Ability to travel domestically.

U.S citizen and ability to obtain US Government Secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications for a Data Insight Analyst 4:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field with10 years of related experience or Master's Degree with8 years of related experience.

Must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels of management and individual contributors.

Demonstrated advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Demonstrated advanced knowledge of data analytics and visualization software (e.g. Tableau).

Ability to travel domestically.

U.S citizen and ability to obtain US Government Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated successful experience leading large data collection & visualization efforts.

Working knowledge of common business tools such as SAP, MRP, MPM, COBRA, COGNOS, etc.

Working knowledge of Earned Value and project management fundamentals (budgeting, scheduling, and risk management)

Experience working closely with various functional areas (e.g. Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain) on data analytics/visualization projects

Working knowledge of SharePoint

Master's degree in Engineering or related technical field

Experience with SQL programming and database management

Experience with web-based scripting languages and front end user interface development
