Northrop Grumman Mgr Business Development 2 in Rolling Meadows, Illinois

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking a Business Development Manager for Air Warfare Systems to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Rolling Meadows, IL.

Reporting to the Air Warfare Systems (AWS) Director of Business Development, within Strategy & Business Development, the individual will lead efforts to identify, prioritize, develop and acquire AWS program opportunities. Programs of interest focus on domestic and international opportunities to include both new starts and upgrades/modifications/mission expansion of existing programs. The individual selected will be responsible for the development and assessment of new opportunities for AWS radio frequency electronic warfare systems and their integration and operation within target customers' operational requirements, and development and maturation of contact plans with customer organizations and influencers to develop new and expanded AWS business opportunities. The individual is responsible for developing and implementing strategies for identifying and maturing initial capture targets, market/mission expansion within and among the DoD Services, and effectively marketing the AWS business unit's products and capabilities to meet customer needs, thereby translating business opportunities into contact plans, strategic win themes, and supporting capture teams and wins. The individual will work with and collaborate with a team of business developers and other team members including all required functions in the Northrop Grumman Corporation, primes, teammates and subcontractors to develop and implement win strategies, compliant with Northrop Grumman's business acquisition process (BAP).

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors of Science degree.

An understanding of DoD and Service-specific requirements, acquisition processes, organizations, and people is essential.

Knowledge in interfacing with USG Service and Command structure

A minimum of 10 years demonstrated direct or related experience in radio frequency and infrared aircraft survivability systems and/or tactical radars. (Minimum 7 years with Masters Degree)

Candidate should have proven experience in the establishment of new customer relationships with the objective of identifying customer needs and technology roadmaps to establish new opportunities for market/business expansion.

Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Strong written and verbal communication skills

U.S. Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters of Science Degree.

Current DOD Secret or TS clearance

Experience in requirements development, program management, and acquisition is desired.

Detailed knowledge of the DoD Service organization needs, and procedures, including the US Army, Strategic Capabilities Office, US Navy, Marine Corps, National Guard, Service rapid acquisition organizations, NORAD, etc.

An understanding of the DoD JCIDS/JROC process and PPBES.

Knowledge of the Northrop Grumman LAC4ISR programs including EW, IRCM, tactical radars

A detailed knowledge of the Congressional budget approval process for DoD programs.
