The Product Support Engineering and Services (PSE&S)organization is seeking a motivated analytical self-starter to join the Logistics Support Engineering (LSE) team. This position is responsible for leading Logistics efforts in coordinating and managing Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) inventory, usage and shipping in support of the LAIRCM Acquisition Follow-on (LAF) program and ensuring that program material handling requirements are met. The candidate must be a self-starter and ready to run their own program, and be able to interface with all levels of personnel support including: Program Office, operations, engineering and management.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and improving GFE tracking database to monitor availability of GFE inventory, available funding and specific customer GFE ownership in order to meet worldwide customer hardware needs

  • Managing and reporting ongoing Line Replacement Unit (LRU) shipping and inventory via weekly customer telecons, periodic reports and reviews with Program Management and Logistics Program Managers (LPMs)

  • Coordinating with Infrared Counter Measures (IRCM) Program Management, LPM and Repair organizations in determining program shipping and inventory requirements based on LRU, Owning organization, Inventory age and available Times & Material (T&M) funding

  • Managing and monitoring GFE Item Unique Identification (IUID) scanning and registry entry, correct errors in scanning, coordinate periodic GFE inventories with Operations and reconcile cost accounts with Customer and Program Office

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum 1 year related experience in logistics and/or database use

  • Understanding of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access)

  • Demonstrated experience working with TeamCenter, MRO, UID and SAP

  • Able to work autonomously on assigned tasks with limited direction and supervision as well as in a team environment with representatives from many different organizations

  • Effective communication skills with the ability to accurately convey status, plans and accomplishments

  • Working knowledge of cost account management, Earned Value metrics, financial reporting, forecasting and scheduling

  • Proven success working with Operations, Logistics, Property, Engineering, Finance and Program Office in identifying and resolving problems

  • U.S. citizen and ability to obtain security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business or technology related field

  • Military background and/or experience with Department of Defense

  • Working knowledge of cost account management, Earned Value metrics, financial reporting, forecasting and program scheduling

  • Working knowledge with Government Furnished Equipment tracking

  • Working knowledge of Access databases

  • Current knowledge of database design and ability to program in MS Access

  • Experience with continuous process improvement and/or project management
