Our Rolling Meadows, Il facility is looking for a Crater/Packer for the purpose of preparing items for shipment per customer requirements.
Specific duties to include, perform a range of activities to prepare nonstandard items for shipment including routine crating and packing to the
preparation of non-standard crates and boxes. will determine packaging requirements from specifications, oral instructions, or knowledge of materials to be shipped and shipping conditions. May build special crating fixtures and braces for shipping unusual or large items when standard boxes and crates cannot be used. May prepare materials such as parts, assemblies, and tooling for special shipment. Packages materials by blocking, tying down, padding, securing, bracing, or other means to avoid damage. Uses standard hand and power woodworking tools and banding equipment. May coordinate loading or unloading of unusual items requiring special handling techniques.

This position is eligible to work a 9/80 schedule. The 9/80 schedule allows an employee to work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday and take every other Friday off of work.
Experience with Microsoft Office and SAP
Excellent communication (written and oral), must be able to represent organization on specific projects.
Must be self-initiating; needing only general supervision for soundness of judgment and overall accuracy
The ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret Level security clearance
Experienced forklift driver
Prior experience packaging material of various sizes/specifications
