Responsible for the transition of on-going EGSE TSW design and development activities from NGMS-BWI to Space Park. Responsible for Payload EGSE development and execution in coordination with Systems Engineering to ensure EGSE supports Payload EM, EQM and flight HW testing in support of requirements sell off. Must have SCI, Megatron clearance will be initiated upon final selection.

Area of responsibility includes:

Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs test applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions.. Ensures software standards are met.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and9 years of software engineering experience OR Master's Degree in STEM and7 years of software engineering experience OR PhD Degree in STEM and 4 years of software engineering experience

  • Must have an active DoD Top Secret and/or SSBI/SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering

  • Experience developing software/writing code in LabVIEW and Python scripts

  • Experience with instrument automation and test set software development

  • Experience with XML

  • Knowledge of spacecraft systems preferred, including the test methodology and instrumentation required to test RF, Power, Digital, or Mixed signal devices

  • Experience working closely with hardware/system engineers and with multiple stakeholders

  • Holds Secret and SCI security clearance
