The Systems Integration, Test and Evaluation organization is hiring a MechanicalTest Conductor 4in Redondo Beach, CA responsible to ensure engineering tests serve mission objectives and mechanisms are in place to execute the tests.
Responsible for testing all customer samples. Oversees the operational aspects of engineering tests and serves as liaison to program, engineering and line management. Reviews status of test requirements, manages schedules and prepares reports. Selects and supervises technicians during test. Assesses anomalies and develops resolutions to documented procedures in conjunction with Test and Quality Engineering.
Leads the complete assembly and test of Flight and Non-Flight hardware. Responsible for ensuring engineering tests serve mission objectives and that the necessary mechanisms are in place to execute testing of hardware. Oversees the set-up and operational aspects of engineering tests and serves as liaison to program, engineering and line management. Reviews status of test requirements, manages schedules and prepares reports. Selects, supervises and mentors technicians during assembly and test of hardware. Assesses anomalies and develops resolutions to documented procedures in conjunction with Test and Quality Engineering. Provides feedback to management for individual performance of assigned Mechanical Technicians. This position requires shift work, weekends and travel to complete most assignments.
Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) field plus 9 years of testing or technician experience; High School Diploma or General Education Diploma plus 17 years of testing or technician experience.
Experience with assembly and test of Flight or Non-Flight hardware
Must have the ability to travel at least 25%, work various shifts and weekends
Experience in a Test Conductor environment
A&P license preferred
