Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Technician 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.

Essential Functions:

  • Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, or optical areas.

  • Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.

  • Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.

  • Perform instrument services including virus scan, sanitization, imaging of hard drive on various measurement and test equipment in compliance with the DFARS security standards.

  • Acquire and manage Letter of Volatility which are instructions from equipment manufacturers to clear non-volatile memory.

  • Should have a working knowledge of computer hardware and software including setting up new computers.

  • Be able to provide desktop support to end users including setting up software and hardware.

  • Be able to work with end users to troubleshoot common computer problems.

  • Have a working knowledge of instruments including being able to operate them and tear them apart as necessary.

  • Have basic troubleshooting knowledge on solving simple instrument problems.

  • Must be able to multitask in fast paced environment and manage multiple priorities at one time with multiple stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications :

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate experience in maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of precision measuring equipment and calibration systems

  • Should have a working knowledge of computer hardware and software including setting up new computers.

  • Ability to acquire DoD Secret Security Clearance
