SSSD has an opening for an EMC/EMI Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.
Role and Responsibilities:
The EMC/EMI Engineer will support lead program EMC/EMI engineer in performing architecture trades, design analysis, and performance modeling through computer simulation. EMC engineering activities include system architecture design, trade studies, specification development, requirement definition and allocation, performance analysis and simulation; system modeling and simulation tool development, and support to hardware design, manufacturing, integration and test.
Available positions require that the candidate have a strong understanding of one or more of the skills described. Project roles span all phases from new business acquisition, and IRAD/ technology development to established programs.

- Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline
Candidate must have, and be able to maintain, at least ONE of the following active U.S. Government security clearances:
Dept. of Defense Top Secret level with a background investigation date within 6 years OR
SCI access with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within 5 years OR
Dept. of Energy Q clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within 5 years OR
Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within 5 years
Master's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline
Practical working experience with EMC Engineering, Analysis, and MIL-STD-461 testing
Previous EMC/EMI design experience
Knowledge of EMC/EMI Simulation software
