Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Supply ChainManufacturingSpecialist2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.

Essential Functions:

  • Supports and assists activities within multiple disciplines across the Supply Chain process. Provides administrative, tactical and execution support in various aspects of the industry standard supply chain business process areas primarily Supply Chain Planning and Supply Chain Sourcing, as well as Supply Chain Business Operations

  • Utilize WIP reports to expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules

  • Coordinate with Manufacturing to assist in prioritizing WIP to ensure contractual schedule dates are met

  • Utilize knowledge of production requirements to coordinate with other shop support teams (Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, MRB, Industrial Engineering, Shipping, Distribution, etc.) to initiate actions to remove any constraints to production

  • Perform necessary SAP and MES system transactions to release work orders for Manufacturing, receive parts into inventory, close out manufacturing work orders, and issue parts up to next higher assemblies

  • Assists in determining possible and actual shortages may initiate action to correct these deficiencies

  • Estimates and logs production rate and time expenditures and may be required to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates; updateSAP basic finish dates as needed to ensure accurate deliveries schedules.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 3year's experience in a Production Environment in supply chain management; 1 year with a Master's degree

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of GSC support for Microelectronics Manufacturing & Electrical Assembly & Test area

  • Working knowledge of ERP systems
