SSSD has an opening for a Staff Mission Assurance Supplier Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach CA .
As a Staff Mission Assurance Supplier Engineer you will collaborate with program management, engineering, subcontracts/procurement functional management and supplier management teams to ensure that all procurements meet or exceed the requirements of external and internal customers. You will define the Supplier MA program within the scope of contract requirements and NG policies and processes. You will coordinate and oversee Mission Assurance Supplier implementation over all program phases.
Essential Functions include, but are not limited to:
Program/IPT participation and support
Supplier Mission Assurance (SMA) proposal estimate development and budget management. Determine the resources required to execute the Supplier MA program and ensure team success, manages the resources and ensures the resources are adequately trained
Collaboration with SMA personnel, NG functional representatives and SMA Management representatives in the development/execution of risk mitigation and corrective action plans
Performance and coordination of core SMA activities, including presentation of SMA metrics during Program Reviews and Corrective Action Board Reviews, supplier audit support, root cause and corrective action activities, and responding to disclosures and problem alerts
Development and maintenance of SAP Vendor and Part Master databases

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline and 14 years of experience in Mission Assurance, Manufacturing, Engineering, or Supply Chain management in an aerospace environment
OR a Master's Degree and 12 years of experience
Previous experience successfully leading a team, project, or program towards successful goal attainment
Experience working with suppliers for nonconforming material investigations and Root Cause Corrective Action
Experience working with quality policies, procedures, and governmental regulations (e.g. AS9100, ISO9001)
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Government Security Clearance
Orientation to change and ability to adapt effectively in a dynamic and logistically challenging environment
Ability to analyze alternative courses of action where decisions have risk/reward implications for program or area of influence
Experience or willingness to execute brefings to Executive Leadership and the Customer regarding process metrics, issues, and actions being taken
Experience with SAP and MES data management systems
Knowledge of Supply Chain Management processes
Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher
