The Mission Engineering and Operations Organization in SSSD is seeking an Integration and Test engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in the Space Park Center of Excellence to include Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach and El Segundo in Southern California.

The successful candidate will be responsible to perform integration and test activities, including planning, development, and test execution for cross-element and system-external testing (such as Multi-Segment Testing). The successful candidate will work with other engineering disciplines, product IPTs, subcontractors, and customers to detail Test Information Sheets, Test Procedures, Test Facilities / Test Beds definition and build-out, and other test related products to ensure successful test campaign.

Test events may include travel to CONUS or international site locations for the duration of the test. This position may have additional compensation benefits while on international assignments.

SCI required. Program can sponsor crossover from TS.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 14+ years of engineering experience OR Master's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 12+ years of engineering experience

  • Active DoD Top Secret/SSBI and/or active SCI

  • SSBI investigation within the last 5 years

  • Minimum of five years of experience in test procedure development, test planning, and/or integration and test

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or other STEM-related field

  • Experience with satellite and/or satellite ground systems

  • Working knowledge of test instruments including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, test drivers, etc.

  • Experience in troubleshooting of complex systems

  • Working knowledge of Linux operating systems and command line

  • Working knowledge of scripting languages such as Python

  • Basic knowledge of networks

  • Experience in working as part of a diverse team in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills

  • Ability to multi-tasking

  • Self Starter and take initiative

  • Willingness to travel CONUS and/or international up to 25% of the time, including possibly for extended periods

Salary Range: $161,000 - $241,400
