SSSD has an opening for a Sr Principal Numerical Control Programmer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Redondo Beach, California .
The ideal candidate will have experience performing a variety of machinist responsibilities which may include but are not limited to the following:
Must be capable of programming complex close tolerance machined hardware in various exotic materials, from Titanium, Invar, Kovar, Inconel, Macor, Fiberglass Epoxy, Aluminum, etc. Must have Mastercam version 2020 or higher and Esprit software experience in creating geometry from Solid Models, IGES, STEP, DXF files. Must have a high-speed machining background with the ability to program two-axis trunnion. Capable of programming, DMG, Mazak, and HAAS CNC 3, 4, and 5-axis machines, and 6-axis Mill-Turn CNC machines with Fanuc, Siemen, Mazatrol controllers. Able to work both vertical and horizontal CNC machines.
The applicant should also be well versed in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance per ANSI 14.5M 1982/1994 specifications to interpret actual position and tolerance requirements. Able to work with little or no direct supervision. Willingness to work overtime when needed to satisfy customer requirements. Experience in Swiss Machine programming, along with Catia and NX experience is a plus.

10 years plus experience in programming skills using Mastercam and Esprit software required.
Experience in the aerospace industry.
Experience programming, setup, and provide direction to machine operators. with minimum supervision.
Experience manufacturing complex tolerance machined hardware in various exotic materials, from Titanium, Invar, Kovar, Stainless, Aluminum, etc.
Experience in multi-axis machining and turning with live tooling background.
Experience in high-speed machining.
Proven ability to work in a team environment.
A\AS Degree plus 10 years of experience as a CNC Programmer.
Experience with Haas, Mazak, Mazak Mill-Turn, DMG, DMG Mill Turn, Tsugami Swiss CNC Machine
Experience with Vericut, NX, Catia5, and AutoCAD
Excellent communication skills.
Salary Range: $117,700 - $176,500
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
