Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking a senior Space Vehicle System Engineer 5 (SVSE) to lead a cross-functional team of engineers within an OCI environment to support competitive source selection and accommodation requirements development for future AMP enhancements. Support program development of source selection criteria, review industry proposals, and provide source selection recommendations to program management. Lead development of Space element (SE) accommodation requirements including allocations to SE subsystems and units, and SE to Payload Interface requirements for future enhancements. Review and assess ECRs from both the Program ERB and Group 2 ERB for potential impacts to the accommodation baseline or program baseline. Lead or support SE related accommodation trades, risks/opportunities, and major program reviews for each enhancement. Plan detailed tasks to support future accommodation proposals after completion of the competitive source selection for each enhancement.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline from an ABET accredited university with 14+ years of engineering experience in an aerospace environment OR

  • Master's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline from an ABET accredited university with 12+ years of engineering experience in an aerospace environment

  • Active SCI/SSBI security clearance is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, Physics or other aerospace related field

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently under limited direction within the scope of an assignment and use independent judgment in determining methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria.

  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to lead working groups and technical interchange meetings.

  • Exceptional analytical problem solver and systems-level thinker.

  • Academic and work experience should include the support of several of the following disciplines: space vehicle design and analysis, functional analysis of requirements, design/integration and test, trade studies, performance analysis, interface control, and project management.
