Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) seeks to fill a Deputy Product Owner/Sr. Principal Systems Engineer in the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization supporting Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU). This position is located in Redondo Beach, CA.

As a Command and Control(C2) Deputy product owner, you'll support the C2 Product owner by providing technical product team leadership oversight. You will be responsible for supporting the C2 SW product development roadmap, leading planning increments, providing agile planning and execution, resolving technical issues that create roadblocks for development, supporting upcoming proposals, and supporting product owner in other tasks as needed.
Basic Job Responsibilities:
Managing C2 backlog, release planning, and increment planning
Providing planning, and execution using JIRA and Confluence
Must have familiarity with Requirements, ICDs, MARs, SW development, and test development
Experience leading an agile sw development team as a scrum master/ Deputy Product Owner
Extensive Experience and understanding of AGILE/SCRUM methodology
Bachelor's in STEM with 9 years of relevant experience; Master's in STEM with 7 years of relevant experience; 4 years of relevant experience with a PhD
Experience with Ground Systems (space or satellite knowledge highly preferred)
Active TS/SCI or TS with SCI eligibility, and willing to sit for a polygraph
Expertise in Cornerstone SW development
Expertise in AMP SW development activities
Expertise in MBSE (Model Based Systems Engineering) tools, frameworks, languages, and concepts
Salary Range: $129,700 - $194,500
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
