Northrop Grumman is looking for you to join our team as a Software Quality Engineer based out of Redondo Beach, CA supporting Mission Assurance for Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP).

What you'll get to do?

As a quality engineer you will develop, modify, apply, and maintain standards for software quality operating methods, processes, systems and procedures.

Duties will include:

  • You will conduct software inspection, testing, verification and validation as well as implement software development and maintain processes and methods.

  • You will ensure measures meet acceptable reliability standards, help to develop overall operating criteria ensuring successful implementation of the software quality according to the project, process and contract requirements and objectives.

  • Other responsibilities include ensuring project and process control documentation are compliant, reviewing software design, and changing specifications.

  • If you enjoy traveling, this position will give you the opportunity to travel internationally.

This position can be filled at a Software or Principal Software Engineer level.

Basic Qualifications of a Software Engineer:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of related experience; Master's Degree; or 6 years of related experience in lieu of a degree

  • Knowledge and/or exposure to software development and systems engineering practices

  • Ability to solve complex problems

  • Active TS Clearance with ability to obtain SCI Access prior to start date

Basic Qualifications of a Principal Software Engineer:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of related experience; Master's Degree with 3 years of related experience; or 9 years of related experience in lieu of a degree

  • Knowledge and/or exposure to software development and systems engineering practices

  • Ability to solve complex problems

  • Active TS Clearance with ability to obtain SCI Access prior to start date

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to evaluate software work products including code

  • Experience supporting an agile and/or DevOps software development environment

  • Experience using UNIX, LINUX, JIRA, Git, BitBucket and/or SonarQube is desired

  • AS9100 auditing experience and/or auditor training
