The Space Systems Engineering and Integration Organization in SSSD is looking for a Requirements & Verification Lead, and this role will be in Space Park. The successful candidate will lead the SE R&V team, reporting to the MSE IPT lead. Scope will include requirement and verification ownership, including analysis, definition, and flow down of system requirements, thread ownership and verification planning. This role will be in support of ongoing contract and funding and will grow to support an RFP in 2023 with program execution to follow. This role will also support cost and schedule activities for ROMs and proposals for R&V.

The R&V Lead will be the focal point for requirements and verification, and responsibilities will include the following:

-System and Subsystem Requirement Decomposition

-Thread Ownership for System Level Requirements

-Verification Planning and VCRM Development

-Requirement Shaping for Demonstration Mission

-Cost Reduction Trades and Activities

-DOORS Administration and Management

-Flight Software Requirements Ownership

-Generation and tracking of Technical Performance Measures (TPMs)

-Open requirement issues (TBX) tracking and resolution

-Configuration Management

-Application of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)

Basic Qualifications:

-Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 14+ years of engineering experience OR Master's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 12+ years of engineering experience OR PhD in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 9+ years of engineering experience

-Candidate must have, and be able to maintain, a Dept. of Defense Top Secret level clearance.

  • Candidate must have the ability to obtain & maintain SAP access.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Master's Degree in Engineering

-Experience working on spacecraft systems

-Experience in developing, managing, and decomposing requirements

-Experience in system architecture, CONOPs, or model based system engineering

-Experience in subsystem, payload, or system integration

-Experience using DOORS, Cameo

-Strong people skills

-Excellent communication skills (upward and downward)

Salary Range: $161,000 - $241,400

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
