Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking a Project Engineer 3 Advanced Program to work in Redondo Beach, California.

The Project Engineer on the F-35 program will Support F-35 Proposal / Requirements Team to meet the F35 and Corporate commitment of delivering the proposals. Supports proposal fact finding requests and post proposal RFIs. Develop SharePoint databases and workflows. Emphasis and Utilize Requirements Management Tools: Learn & manage DOORs Software: Develop Requirements Tree Down, Integration with LMA & Integration with NGC Functions/PE's, M&P Specification Reviews and Supplier SSOW development & verification. Also development opportunities will include Change Management packages and Affordability Initiatives. Skills developed will be cost and schedule management, project management, communication skills and presentation opportunities to leadership. The environment is very dynamic and requires an individual to find solutions and work as a team with colleagues. This is a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, managing multiple projects and requires someone who excels working in a collaborative/team setting.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) field from an accredited institution and5 years of engineering experience in an aerospace environment OR

  • Masters of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) field from an accredited institution and3 years of engineering experience in an aerospace environment

  • Technical knowledge and practice in design, analysis, or on-aircraft experience with Subsystems, Composites, or Metallic Structures

  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects and meet defined schedule commitments

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters' Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering

  • Possesses strong leadership qualities, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
