Northrop Grumman Principal Internal Communications Representative in Redondo Beach, California

Northrop Grumman's Aerospace Sector is looking for an Employee Communications Representative to support business communications activities and the evolution of our culture. How you will make a difference:

  • Partner with senior management and internal stakeholders to develop creative content (films, videos, articles) for employees so they may connect with and understand the Northrop Grumman brand, culture, values, business strategies and initiatives.

  • Develop, write and edit stories for the company's employee magazine.

  • Represent the sector on the company's editorial board.

  • Oversee the employee communications editorial calendar.

  • Serve as a strategic communications counselor to key business units to help develop the company's culture.

  • Develop and execute employee communications initiatives designed to support key business objectives, long-term goals and projects.

  • Develop a creative communications plan/channel plan to generate employee engagement with produced content.

  • Develop metrics to assess the effectiveness and impact of employee communications initiatives and tools. Recommend actions based on metric results.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 6+ years' communications experience.

  • Requires demonstrated knowledge of Associated Press style.

  • Applied knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products including: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint Web development tools.

  • Proven ability to write professional, original content with minimal supervision.

  • Strong writing and editing skills;

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in communications, journalism, marketing.

  • Experience working in a large, matrixed and/or geographically dispersed organization.

  • Experience developing creative content in a corporate environment.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SecretClearance.
