Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Principal Financial Analyst to join us in the pursuit of top-tier financial performance. This position is based out of Redondo Beach, CA. The Principal Financial Analyst will provide support for all elements of the organizations SOW under the guidance of the Manager of Sector Financial Planning Homeroom.

Responsibilities

  • Overall coordination and communication between Sector and Program/Division teams

  • Develop and Execute Training Program - develop training materials and recurring training program for new and existing team members; prepare standard training for new employees; train on new initiatives and processes

  • Drive consistency in processes across Divisions and Program - Develop and publish process documentation that aligns to training

  • Prepare and distribute templates for AOP, forecast reviews, ad hoc requests, etc; collaborate with Division teams before distributing

  • Coordinate deliverables with Divisions; divisions have primary responsibility for coordination with Program Teams

  • Resolve issues and questions that arise

  • Maintain calendar with critical meeting and due dates

  • Roll-out of new initiatives (DTO, EAC granularity project, Treasury Process, etc)

  • Staffing assistance as required

  • Lead of Sector Financial Planning Council - Communication between sector, program, and division finance teams - weekly or bi-weekly meetings to discuss upcoming deliverables and meetings, resolve questions, etc

  • DTO support and training

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 6 years of Finance, Accounting, and/or Business-related experience, or a Master's degree with 4 years of related experience

  • Knowledge of basic excel functions and understanding of data analysis techniques.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business-related discipline

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP or Costpoint) and Financial Planning software (e.g, Hyperion Planning, IBM Analytics, or another similar software)

  • Experience in program/division business management functions and understanding of sector level requirements.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

  • Expertise in financial analysis

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance

  • CPA License

  • Knowledge of EVMS/FAR/DFARS

Salary Range: $86,300 - $129,500

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
