Northrop Grumman Aeronautics System (NGAS) is looking for a Principal Mission Assurance Engineer for the F-35 Program. This role will be based in Redondo Beach, CA. The MA Engineer will have responsibility to help execute quality requirements and provide program leadership with support across key initiatives.
In this role, you will have direct responsibilities to support the Mission Assurance Program Director and his staff on key projects, as well as support critical leadership initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to lead, coordinate, and facilitate support tasks as directed. The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across multiple levels of leadership.
Tasks to include, but are not limited to:
Development/preparation of briefing materials, coordination/facilitation of various quality/mission assurance activities in support of site/division/sector objectives - meetings to include development/status of action items
Organize, plan and facilitate meetings including: Team Meetings, Staff Meetings, DCMA-NGC Partnership Meeting, Performance Deep Dives, All Hands, Engagement Activities and Off Sites
Create and distribute Status Reports/Notes
Facilitate the update/review of Command Media Documents
Track and manage: DCMA CAR status, accomplishments, quality improvement initiatives, profitability improvement initiatives (PII), goals, engagement plans for team
Identify opportunities for improvement, facilitate Process Improvement Team activities, track and manage Process Improvement Activities
Assist with root cause and corrective action (RCCA) investigations
Provide ad hoc analysis and recommendations (may include use of data analytics and Tableau)
Division metrics and dashboard maintenance, coordinate monthly MA&E Dashboard ratings with MAPMs
Preventive Corrective Action Board (PCAB) facilitation, notes, minutes and actions
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with 4 years of experience/Master's Degree in STEM with 2 years of experience in Project Management or Manufacturing/Mission Assurance
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Root Cause Corrective Action experience
The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards. Demonstrates the skill and ability to perform complex tasks.
Advanced STEM Degree
Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
Ability to develop solutions to complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation.
Ability to complete complex work assignments and performed independently without appreciable direction.
