Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) Survivability and Systems Engineering (S&SE) has exciting career opportunities for Engineering Section Managers (level 2) willing to push the boundaries in a fast-paced, exciting environment and take us to the next level. This position will be located in Redondo Beach and El Segundo, CA. Section Manager positions are available for the following disciplines.
Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis - encompassing the areas of Systems Analysis and Performance, Mission Planning, and Operations Analysis, supporting GSMS, FCA, or SP-1. Candidates for these roles are required to have Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis experience. The preferred candidate is currently working within MS&A.
Systems Engineering - available managing a program-based systems engineering group that will include some Requirements and Verification (R&V) engineers, Model-Based Systems Engineers, and Systems Engineers. The successful candidate for this role will have SP-1 program access working SP-1 Systems Engineering or be working FCA systems engineering (includes Model Based Systems Engineering).
The S&SE Section Manager is a dual-hat Engineering Manager responsible for both section management (up to 20% of time) and technical assignment (80% or more of time). The Section Manager is also a member of the Survivability and Systems Engineering functional organization with responsibilities to perform resource planning and staffing; employee development, including skills training and career development; performance management, including employee goal setting, and performance appraisals. The Section Manager is also responsible for the deployment, measurement, and improvement of applicable engineering processes. The Section Manager reports functionally into the Survivability and Systems Engineering homeroom.

Bachelor's Degree from an ABET accredited university and 5+ years of engineering experience
Previous experience in Modeling, Simulation, Analysis or SP-1 Engineering or FCA Systems Engineering
Active DoD SECRET (or higher) clearance, within 5 years of last investigation
The ability to obtain and maintain a special access program clearance
MS degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) field from an ABET accredited university
5+ years of direct experience leading teams or managing projects
Experience leading a team of diverse individuals toward a common objective
Previous experience leading projects in the SAP/SAR environment
Strong project management and team development skills
Excellent written and verbal communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills
Existing program access to one or more NG program areas
