The Advanced & Strategic Global Supply Chain Category Management organization is seeking a candidate to fill the position of management lead for the RF & Digital Category team. The Category Manager will lead the Strategic Executive Supplier Relationship for critical RF & Digital supply chain partners. Additionally, the selected candadate will lead the Cateory Management Integation Team which is a combination of Supply Chain Leads, Category Procurement leads, Supplier Performance Leads, Category Strategist and Technolgist. Category Manager will lead the monthly category reviews and be responsible for all KPIs under the category suppliers. The Category Manager will be responsible for Sourcing Influence/2nd sourcing recommendations. The Category Manager will be responsible for ensuring proper early engagement in Designs, developments, modifications and evaluations of digital electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for digital electronic equipment and other hardware systems. The Category Manager Supports a team who determines design approaches and parameters for the Category management suppliers. The Category Manager leads a team who analyzes supplier capabilities and performance to establish operating data, conducts experimental pilots, and evaluates results. Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability. Supports proper review of supplier capability to support product development. The individual provides business, technical, performance, and strategic information to the suppliers on a regular basis and fosters business relationships to enable key suppliers to invest in Mission Systems sourcing opportunities. Category Management establishes and communicates supplier performance metrics (cost, schedule, technical, etc.). Additionally, Category Management, through strong collaboration with the Mission Systems technical community, will integrate the source selection business roadmap with the technology roadmap(s). The selected leader will interface with individual programs through the program Supply Chain Program Managers (SCPM) to incorporate unique program objectives and information in the execution of the material procurements and supplier management activities of Category Management.

The selected leader will oversee the management of suppliers within the respective technology; identify innovative supply base solutions, ensure uninterrupted access to those solutions; identify, manage, and mitigate risks, negotiate terms with the suppliers to meet program and sector objectives; ensure timely placement and receipt of program material requirements; manage collaborative technical solutions to supply chain problems across multiple programs; synergize business opportunities for purchase order placements across the sector; and ensure purchase order integrity and compliance.

This position reports to the sector Director, Category Management within Global Supply Chain. The leader will have responsibility for an integrated, diverse, multi-disciplined team with expertise in materials management, subcontract administration, procurement, mission assurance, engineering, and manufacturing in the execution of supply chain processes and strategy within the technology domain.

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of 7 years of experience ( e.g Finance, Supplier Management, Customer Service, Managing Operations, Procurement, Information Systems)

2 + years as a Team Lead and/or Managing a team

Bachelor's Degree

Knowledge of Category Management Operations

Current DoD SECRET clearance

Demonstrates leadership success and ability to influence direct reports, interact with peers and all levels of management

Highly effective interpersonal skills, commitment to fostering an engaging environment for others and excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

7 years experience

Masters Degree
